Nope...I want to watch it in peace and quiet without a bunch of yahoo's jabbering on and on about each scene etc.

I love the show but having a "party" for it isn't my idea of fun.

    :)

I will be watching with my son. I will be trying to figure out the "sweet spot" of time to let lapse as not to have to watch commercials. That said, there will be plenty of pause (and rewind) moments and this show will take me much longer than 2.5 hours to absorb.

    This.
The cat will go in the basement for a couple hours (he irratates the dog) and the dog will be okay till she starts bugging me and then she gets to go to the kitchen. Sorry honey but that's the way of it.

I would love to go to a party AFTER the show, but not during it.

I'll be getting together with a couple of friends to watch it, hopefully. We've been talking about it since the beginning of the season, but we haven't planned anything definite yet.

If that doesn't happen, perhaps I'll start a "Lost Finale" chat room in AIM. :)

I'd love to go to a "party", but unfortunately I made plans months and months ago that can't be broken, so I will have to wait until the Tuesday after the finale at the earliest to watch. Even then I'll probably only have time to watch the recap on Tuesday and then watch the Finale on Wednesday. :(

I don't have any friends...and if I did, they would not be invited :p

this is better than porn (something to watch alone) :D

I don't want to wait until the following Friday to watch it...so I think I will take that Monday off...

I think this is one of those finales that you will HAVE to watch on or close to the same day. There's going to be a LOT of water cooler discussion after this finale.

How can you NOT talk during the show? Am i the only person who talks back to the TV, making fun of stupid stuff or reacting to what's going on?

Part of the point of the party is this kind of thing, IMO. Interacting with your friends. Why have a party at all otherwise?

What would be appropriate "eats" during the Lost finale?

Candy bars. And stuff with lots of ranch dressing.

Not sure about the idea of a 'party' but watching Lost with fellow long-time fans is fun, especially at someone's house with a DVR (whereby you can pause/rewind, as needed). Not sure I'd do the theater or restaurant thing, but who knows...

This is one of those times that the different time zones kinda ruin the fun for online communities like this one... they should air it "live" all across the US, like the Super Bowl and the Oscars. :)

This is too good not to steal and use!
I honestly don't know what I would do if there was a serious conflict. Like a kid getting married or something. But I think my kids know better than planning a major event during sweeps month. :D

I don't know how I could be anywhere but in front of my TV/TiVo on Sunday night. If I was somewhere else, I would only be there in body, 'cause my mind would be miles away.

They're also reairing the pilot in case there are fans who haven't seen it 500 times. I think that's the saturday before.

That definitely sucks because you know everyone is gonna be talking about it. It's gonna be impossible to avoid spoilers for three days; I hate to admit it but if I absolutely had to do something sunday night, I would probably take monday morning off just to watch it, haha. The thought of having it spoiled would drive me crazy.

This is where I'm at. I've watched a few episodes with some friends who are thinking of getting together and it drove me out of my mind. All the did was talk the whole time, then constantly re-wind to catch stuff they missed. Unfortunately people talking when stuff is on just happens to be one of my biggest pet peeves (only thing that ruins going to the movies for me), so I think it's best to stay home. Luckily I have a family thing all day that day so that's my excuse to get out of anything.

While I would *love* to attend a Lost party, there's no way I can do it. Like a lot of others, I'd rather sit here (with my wife), and watch it in peace where we can hear what's going on.

We can't stay up until 11:30 to watch it (my wife has to go to work the next morning). It's my day off, and day to watch our 2 year old. Because we're not going to watch it live, we're going into Internet silence at 4pm Pacific that day. We'll watch the 7-9pm show on Sunday night (but not live - we'll start it at 8pm after our daughter goes to sleep).

On Monday, I'm taking my daughter out to places where I know no one, and won't overhear anything. That night, after she goes to bed, my wife and I will watch the finale.

It'll be tough, but we'll have to manage. I think we'll be able to get by without anyone spoiling it for me. At least, I hope so!

I've never rewatched an entire episode, pilot included. And I'm definitely in the LOSTaholic camp--never missed a single episode.

I have gone back and watched scenes from previous eps. Usually the most recent one, because of something pointed out in a thread here. And sometimes I'll rewatch a scene or two, just because it's so d*mn much fun to watch! But I've never actually watched an entire episode, start to finish, more than once.

I do look forward to watching the entire series again, but not for a while. I need to get some distance, get over the loss;), take a break. Then I'll either record the entire series on my TiVo, if it's in syndication, so I can watch it at my leisure, or buy the DVDs.

mrdazzo7 makes a very valid point -- hardcore fans own the DVD/BD sets and do marathons.

Plus, if you've ever tried to get friends onto the show, you've probably seen the pilot a few times. I've seen it 5 times myself, as my routine for indoctrinating newbies was to show the Pilot & Walkabout, then let them decide if they wanted to the cu... er, club.
