Loss of guide data due to cable adapter or not?

    My mom's Tivo has been working just fine for a few years. She has to have a tuning adapter (from the cable company) hooked up to it as well as a cable card.

    Now she is having a problem with the Tivo rebooting and losing its guide data. The guide data seems to never come back. I had her check the Tivo's service connection history (under Network Settings), and it said the last service connection attempt was successful (and made earlier that same day). So it's not that.

    She says she's getting video from the various channels, but the guide is simply filled with "title not available," so it's not recording her shows. Could it be a bad tuning adapter? Or something wrong with the Tivo?

    You must mean a tuning adapter?

    Suggest that be disconnected from the USB, then do a few Tivo Service connections.
