As soon as he showed up on screen, my reaction was "He's Leo Getz?"

    Nope.

Lennon plays the same character in all his roles. Not feeling it, yet.

I wouldn't go that far. Felix Unger (The Odd Couple) is so not the same character as Lieutenant Dangle (Reno 911!).

I enjoyed the episode but can't see Trish working with Getz.

It's been picked up for a 2nd season.

    I'm glad I enjoy it a lot.

I really am enjoying this series... I am buying into both characters after wondering if I could get past the Gibson/Glover partnership in the movies...

There's nothing out there like this... Semi-serious cop drama with a twist of humor...

Is it perfect? No... But it doesn't need to be...

It continues to impress. I do hope that Trish doesn't work with leo. That doesn't seem to fit her character very well. I am surprised at how well they've made the show their own. I am glad they didn't try to do an exact clone of the movies. It clearly is working for them.

Oh, I totally forgot that was a character from the movies..

This show is a reasonable "dumb action show". I know I have _most_ of the Rush Hour episodes on my Tivos (I think spread across them), but I think I somehow missed at least one of them, so will be bummed when I start watching it that I'll miss it.. (since it was cancelled and I probably can't see it anywhere, esp if I watch it next summer.)

But anyway, this is a reasonably good "vague simulacrum of a movie" TV show. I'm amazed it was renewed, though.
