In. Stitches. His impersonation of Italians has my crying.
The TV airing of the Daily Social Distancing Show has an extra segment compared to the YouTube version. It got cut off in my recording as Tivo has it as 26 minutes when it’s longer than that.
I’ve been padding the daily show for years. It almost always does not match its time slot.
ooooooh I'm going to check my recording. I figured it was the same so I just watched the YT one this morning.
How much longer?
I don’t know since my currently cut off even though I pad it 1 minute. I’m guessing it should be 30 minutes. I’m going to try padding 5 minutes tonight.
Mine cut off too, right before the Moment of Zen. I'll set up a pad. I watched the last few on the Comedy Central Channel on my Roku. How soon before Trevor goes full afro
didn't read the whole thread. Jimmy Fallon has been doing "half" new tonight shows with his home segments, then they go to part of an old episode. Unfortunately, the guide data doesn't show that it's new. Fallon has actually been funnier on these eps than anything in a long time (though I like his game show/quiz segments on the reg show far better than any of the interviews).
Colbert did a _few_ new ones. but I think it's back to reruns now.
These shows have reminded me a lot of the very long TV strike in I guess the late 80s.. it went so long that Letterman went back on the air without writers.. had "Hal Gurnee's Network Time Killers".. and I thought the top 10 list or something else that became very popular came out of that too (though now I seem to remember that Merrill Markoe "invented" the top 10 list, and AFAIK she wasn't on the show anymore.)
I believe Jay Leno stayed on the air during the writers strike by writing all his material, which he was allowed to do,
Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Show (with Stephen Colbert) will return next Monday (march 30) with new episodes.
I was channel surfing last night and ran into this. Yes great interview! I was able to get information without getting depressed the way I do when I tune into the news which I don’t want to be feel I have to so I have an idea of what’s going on.
"Conan" will also return with new episodes on March 30.
Fallon would be ok if he would keep his kids out of the room during the opening. It was funny for about 2 minutes the first time
That just reminds me, I'm pretty sure I remember even here people eventually asked after 9/11 "when will it stop", i.e. when will there be new programming.
CNN is by far the channel I use buffering on the most (sometimes I do it for various CSPAN channels).. and jeez, it's COVID 24 hours a day.
Looks like everyone has at least some new content tomorrow 3/30 except Corden and Spade.
Oops, check that. Corden has a new primetime special at 10p ET / 9p CT, so maybe everyone has some new content except Spade.
