There are so many other bad shows repeating on these old channels why not this one? I've had a WL for a while but no hits. I haven't seen it in decades and want to pick it apart.

    Also Lost in space :)

I hope there's no 'danger' of me never seeing them again

I'm right there with you. Have been watching for LOTL forever. I hope they bring it at least to Boomerang so my kids can laugh at how hokey my favorite show was.

    Oh, oh!

Marshall, Will and Holly, on a routine expedition, met the greatest earthquake ever known...

Oh wait, was that really the greatest earthquake ever known? That would have had to have been a really big earthquake.

Thanks for putting the theme song back into my head.

Sleestack and dinosaurs, oh my! And lots of glowing crystals, and a space alien or two. Sigh. Einstein would have been proud, but Ellison was not amused.

I think it was either TV Land or Boomarang who were rerunning them at one point. There was a Friday night lineup that included HR Pufenstuf, Liddsville, Land of the Lost, Shazam, and Isis. It was a lot of fun to revisit some of my favorite shows from my childhood, but I now wish I hadn't. They certainly didn't live up to my memories.

Also, don't forget they already attempted a remake of Land of the Lost in the early 90's. It was really bad.

Then there was the time Will Marshall tried to pick me up in a bar...

A couple of years ago, my "Lost in Space" wishlist picked up a one-hour special featuring Bill Mumy, Johnathan Harris and the Robot. John Larroquette was the host. I think it was made around the time the movie was released.

That's the only hit I've had in 3 1/2 years as a TiVo user.

Land of the Lost wasn't part of the rotation. In fact TV Land only showed 8 episodes of each show and repeated them 2 or 3 times before finally stopping the programming block. I have 8 Shazam episodes. Isis wasn't one of them, although she was in one crossover episode that aired in the block.

If I remember correctly, seasons one and two were of a very different tone and direction from season three. Besides the loss of the dad, being replaced by the uncle, there were a vast number of other changes, like the inclusion of mythology and the dropping of the closed universe science angle. I seem to recall Harlan Ellison was asked to do a "treatment" for a kids show for the Kroffts. They rejected his ideas and came up with "The Land of the Lost" instead. It still seemed to bear a bit of the Ellison-like feel, until the third season. It was a long time ago, so am I remembering this all wrong?

I'm pretty sure that at the time I watched it, none of those sentences would have made sense to me. In other words, I have no idea. :p

Actually, David Gerrold was the script editor for Season 1 and was able to get some interesting writers for that season, including people like Ben Bova, Norman Spinrad, Greg Strangis, Theodore Sturgeon, Larry Niven, and Walter Koenig.

Now whatever happened to Kathy Coleman? I suspected that she would grow up to be a cutie.

I've been Netflixing them. Well worth renting if you liked it as a kid. Buying it? One viewing and I'll probably be good for a while.

I was just looking at the cast list, and the
Sleestak Leader in Season 3 was played by ..... Jon Locke!

So, the show 'Lost' is actually taking place in "The Land Of The Lost!".

(I know, it is 'John', but just go with the flow). ;)
