Kominsky Method Shocker: Alan Arkin Exits Ahead of Third and Final Season
How is this show, haven't watched, and always nice knowing it's a planned final season
I think it's one of the funniest shows ever. Writing is off the charts funny. I think it's geared toward an older crowd, not sure how it played with the under-50 set.
Well really enjoyed Grace and Frankie, and that's def aimed at like 60+
I still haven't seen it but every description I've read says it's a male Grace & Frankie. I need to, I love both Michael Douglas & especially Alan Arkin, who I've followed since I was literally 11 years old. He made a movie called Simon that I absolutely loved, and have really enjoyed his acting ever since.
Oh no. Hope that doesn't mean more of the daughter and her BF as I find them extremely annoying.
You appear wise beyond your years... give it a try.
This will probably be his crowning glory, don't miss it.
The daughter I like. BF Paul Reiser is ok in small doses. I've liked Sarah Baker ever since Go On, an obscure sitcom back in 2012/2013.
Wow, that's high praise! He's one of those actors who tends to play characters you would want to be friends with in real life, very much like Tom Hanks. I'll check it out this evening.
I may have oversold it . It's the icing on his cake of a career, a high note to go out. It's going to be hard to beat The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming.
It definitely has an old school, Reiner/Brooks feel to it. As a man of a certain age, I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure my kids would.
I’m barely under 50 but I really enjoyed it, too - but I have concerns about a season without AA.
They will certainly have challenges without him. The Michael Douglas <> Alan Arkin give and take was the heart & soul of this show. Everything else, good bad or ugly, was just dressing. Some of that dressing was really fun, but still side dressing.
But that's what writers do, roll with the punches. I think it goes without saying (so why am I saying it?) that any of us who watched and enjoyed this will give S3 its fair due. And cross our fingers.
I hope he bowed out of this due to safety concerns, or time concerns, or any reason other than a health issue.
I loved Alan Arkin in The In-Laws. Serpentine! Serpentine!
I was barely under 50 for the first season. I loved both seasons.
Honestly, I think Douglas carries the show way more than Arkin. I like them both, but I think it’s primarily Douglas’ over Arkin.
I think it's definitely a Douglas vehicle, but Arkin is his perfect foil. My first thought is that they will "kill off" Arkin's character, but that plot line would have worked so much better if Arkin came back as a "ghost". It will be interesting to see.
