All I could think of while watching that gun-fight is that obviously Elmore Leonard passed on to the writers of this show a keen awareness of the full range of ways in which people can be stupid. :D

"The next one's comin' faster." :D

Lot of :D watching this show... :D

    "Slower"? I don't remember that.

Great episode. Boyd's plotline is boring me a bit though; he's just too interesting for that crew he's hanging with. I hope he gets more to do. Luckily Raylan's plotline is a lot of fun so far.

It really has. The Harlan Roulette scene was great, and there is so much really good stuff in the show that doesn't involve Raylan or Boyd to be part of the scene.

Didn't the actor who played the pawn shop owner (Otis on The Walking Dead) play the guy who ran the halfway house that Rachel's brother-in-law ran away from last season? Or am I thinking of somebody else?

If it's the same guy, that was a weird casting decision.

Different actor. The guy from last season was a younger and larger man. There is a very strong resemblance though.

You want to talk strange casting, how about Garret Dillahunt as Jack McCall in season 1 of Deadwood and then the ultra creepy Wolcott in season 2?

I've seen the pawn shop guy in another show. Can't remember where though.

Good gravy. He has been in EVERYTHING.

He had a long guest spot on The Mentalist last year.

What was with the poor guy tied to the bed that Wynn walked in on accidentally? His expression was priceless.

This guy was the tub of lard that got shot in Cy's place in Deadwood, and the whores patched up.

Remember that Nix is still alive, not that we've heard a single peep about him.

There was little evidence of why Nix went after Raylan in the first place.

In this episode we had Raylan have his non-conversation with Winn Duffy, because he has had it with him making the What? third or fourth attempt to kill Raylan? You only gotta attempt to murder Raylan 3 times to get him really mad? Raylan even shrugs it off when his pregnant wife was minutes away from getting a bullet?

We need to find out what medication they put Raylan on when he got shot.

But Raylan doesn't just gun people down. It's always self-defense.

And he's gotten in trouble before for manufacturing situations where self-defense is inevitable.

Plus, one problem with relying on self-defense to dispose of your enemies is that you end up with a lot of dead hired help, but the guy who calls the shots without getting his hands dirty tends not to get, er, defended against with extreme prejudice. Which has got to be annoying, and which seems to have led to the manufactured self-defense shooting that got Raylan exiled to Kentucky in the first place.

I suppose the interaction between Raylan and Robert in Wynn's RV shouldn't surprise me, but it did. Not sure what to think of Robert yet.
