And once again we have some fun chatting between Raylan and Boyd. That review got it right. Best line was certainly this:
"Well, Raylan, you're talking to a man who's sleeping with his dead brother's widow and murderess, so if you're looking for someone to cast stones at you on this matter, I think you've picked the wrong sinner."
Heeee! I swear Boyd is working his way into my favorite character spot on this show. And this answers the question if Raylan realized last week what Boyd was up to with the fight. You literally could see it dawn on him. Ha!

I don't care about Karen Sisco. I don't care about Carla. I don't care about any triangle they might tease us. I essentially don't care about Raylan's personal life. When he's so awesomely flawed but still awesome in every other aspect, why do we even need so much focus on that? Blah.

Not caring about Limehouse so far. Thought that entire monologue went on far too long. Yeah we get it, you're a creepy bad ass.

I did think that poor Art was going to die for a second. I was really hoping they didn't go there. Glad they didn't and it was nice to see him step outside the line for a minute. Tim's absence was felt too.

So basically, the entire prison story was made of win for me. Everything else this week was just good but not spectacular.

I'm confused about the house. That was the house Winona shared with her sleezy, now hiding, ex-hubby?

Yes, I assume they needed out of the motel so maid service could clean up the blood. :D

    That was great!

I was thoroughly smitten by Carla before. I dunno why but but now not so much.

Didja notice that the other henchman was very burned on the back of his hand?

We knew that the sleezeball had hidden another gun under the pillow on the couch RIGHT THERE. Quite a MacGuffin.

I new immediately that Art was looking for the GPS breadcrumbs to see where he had been. He didn't necessarily have to had the GPS on when he trailed the G-Man.

Nothing like asking the brotherhood if you can join in and show off your swastika tat.

I get what you are saying, but at the same time I thought it was really important. When Dickie was telling Boyd that Limehouse would only give the money to Dickie, and that the money died with him, I didn't buy it. It didn't fit with the show and I just pictured Boyd robbing the guy or intimidating him to get the money. Simple and done. Then that scene with Limehouse... It was like, ah, OK, now I see why this is a problem.

    I did.

Another reason to love Boyd. He knows he's about to get the crap kicked out of himself and doesn't care. All just to get closer to Dickie.

I'm not saying it wasn't important. Just saying I thought it went on far too long. We could have gotten the same point in much shorter time. Oh well. Small complaints because the show kicks ass too much normally that these less than perfect moments bug me sometime.

Again, pure magic between Raylan and Boyd. Kudos to all involved. Boyd is already my favorite character on the show, has been for a while. Although Art is a close second after his handling of the Witness Protection guy. That chair leg impressions slash "two in the wall, two into you" scene was great. He looked dead to me, but then I am sure Art wouldn't have left him tied up. I must be mistaken.

Art definitely did not kill the guy. They left when Raylan arrived because the local police were there and could secure the scene while they went to help Rachel.

Consider that last week a US Marshall had a wanted fugitive break into his home and attempt murder on him and his "wife," and we heard nothing about it - not even that Raylan or Art interrogated the shot-up hitter or went after Mr. Dixie Mafia for sending the guy, until the end when they mention that the local cops said that his office was clean.

    Jest another shooting in Elmoreland.

That was hilarious! Love the interaction between Raylan and Boyd and great dialog like this.

Also loved that Art got to be a bad-ass this week.

Funniest part was they had Raylan "counseling" Rachel after a shooting and then asking Art if he was alright after the whole ordeal. Yeah, they'd use Raylan for that type thing. But then, he does have the most experience with killing people. ;-)

What I didn't like was the contrived scene where Wynona came to see if Raylan was alright. She never cares about him at times like this. And then him making a big deal kissing her in the office; he'd never do that. It was all contrived so Carla would see he had a relationship with Wynona. I'm sorry, I'm just not a fan on Wynona and never will be - she just went back to Raylan because she couldn't stand to see him with someone else (Ava).

Not contrived at all. She's pregnant now, and pregnant women often act much differently (read - hormones) than they normally would. I didn't find it out of character at all...especially now that they are (or soon will be) a family.

I'm on the fence about this. People act completely different once a pregnancy is involved. Normally I'd say it was WAY out of character for him but they seem to both be acting much more in love so far this season. More flirting, joking... less bitching at each other. So given that I let it slide with only a slight side eye.

And I think his kissing Wynona had nothing to do with Wynona and everything to do with Carla...he was sending a message.

If that's what the writers intended for that scene then I'm disappointed in them. That would be out of character for Raylan. He's much smoother than that.

I was wondering about which I'd choose in that position. I'm leaning towards Option One.

I wish Boomtown was on Neflix instant. Would love for my wife to see season 1.
