Cheyenne has only about 60,000 people. No way they are claiming that those buildings were there before the attacks.

Why not? I think it's a great parallel.

I was just wondering if that was the intended parallel after the episode prior to this one. Until then, I never thought much of it.

Honestly, I hadn't even thought about the Cheney comparisons until now (I had noticed the link between J&R and Blackwater). Since you mentioned it, I'm glad it's out there. I think it's brilliant.

Am I right that they gave a nod to Band of Brothers in this episode? I swear I thought I saw that Richard Speight, Jr.'s character was wearing an army uniform stolen from a soldier named Muck. Stupid me didn't really let it register until later in the episode, and I deleted the episode out of pure habit.

I was thinking Blackwater too. I do think the not so subtle political message is a bit ridiculous but typical of today's media. I'm not thrilled about it, but I still enjoy the show.

I don't understand why they are tormenting the fans with that language. Either tells us it's over or tell us it's gonna make it. They have to know by now. Furthermore, they certainly are deliberately using that language to try and keep people watching "just in case". If that's why they're doing it, it's just insulting. If there's a real reason like they're gonna continue it, then not telling people cheats if of a chance to start building a new audience. Either way, it's pretty stupid.

Frankly, they probably have till sometime in May to decide, so I'd certainly prefer a wait over a premature non-renewal. :)

Even if they show the "wrong" finale next week they can always do a reset with the first episode in the third season being the alternate finale.

i must have been napping because the only torture i saw on jake was a super bright light. Ok no food or water and i'd be beat too but does light really make your face look that bad ? and why would he keep looking up at it instead of at least being face down?

i still think stan should have taken one for the team. Would have been an interesting turn of events.

and was i the only one thinking if the object is to nuke CO why not let them take the bomb to CO for him? And why would you take a bomb near a populated area anyway? what a stupid AS army! it's like a trojan horse!

and all this just to get rid of one powerful company...that is a bit insane if you ask me...i can see one man wanting to rule the world but stopping a company from ruling the world is a bit of a stretch

His eyes looked dry, probably from lack of sleep and this also increases the light sensitivity.

Practically, that's true from a fall production standpoint but I have to wonder what the contracts they signed said. They shot this late last summer. How long can the actors be left out on a limb? Also, how long can they tie up the crew they'd need to do it?

I'm a fast bandaid man. Just rip it off and let me move on.

This is where the story pretty much jumps the shark for me. I don’t think it could have gotten any worse if Hawkins heard Frank Gorshin’s voice on the phone (Riddler from Batman 1960’s TV show) giggling saying "Die Batman die!"

and i just want to make sure Stargate command can take the hit when the nuke goes off too:)

And do they really think RJ doesnt have a backup plan in case of an event like this? Afterall they have to think if we did this, someone else could too.

one thing i just remembered...after the prez left stans house, they left all those banners and the girls were taking them down? in this age of shortages, why not take down the banners and use them at your next press conference? such a waste

If I'm interpreting right, and based off your other post (I've only seen the movie stargate, not the series, so I'm assuming they're locating command in the same spot): you have your Cheyenne's mixed up. You keep refering to Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado, which is where NORAD is. They new capitol of the nation is Cheyenne, Wyoming.

I took this episode to mean that John Smith had been playing Richard Hawkins and was going to set us a "safe" point for Richard to bring the bomb and then John Smith would get it into his own hands via a hijack. Instead, Richard took off for Texas on the word of the person he knew and trusted, and he was hijacked anyway.

...lets not forget that Hawkins walked back home in record time bypassing all checkpoints without even getting dirty.

I took this as showing how the "government" just blew in for a speach and a photo-op, then blew out letting those left behind to clean up the mess.
