I'm sorry if I'm repeating this, but i did several searches first to see if this issue has been addressed.

I have a mac with Tivo desktop & an S2. I can transfer my iPhotos, but not music. I get the options (albums, artists, playlists), but when I go to open it, I get a message saying "there is no playable music."

my library has both: music purchased from iTunes and CD's I've uploaded.

    Any suggestions?

    TIA!

Make sure all the music files are stored as MP3. TiVo can't play AAC files natively. There are things you can do to get the Mac to play non-purchased AAC files which involved installing LAME on your Mac. You will have to to search this forum for directions on installing it. Purchased files are protected with DRM and simply are not playable at all. If you burn them to CD and then re-import them as MP3s, they will be playable.

    Thanks, CuriousMark~

I didn't think about checking to see if they are stored as MP3 files.
