Cleaning out the NPL on the old HR10-250 so I can sell it, I came across some TiVo Suggestions - episodes of "Surface" off UHD. Unfortunately, they are middle-of-the-season eps and I never watched the show.

Anyway, I've got some room in the Netflix TV queue and was wondering if it's worth adding the "Complete Series" and powering through it, or should I just delete these eps and move along?

I like BSG, Lost and The Shield - for reference.

I loved Surface. It was only 13 episodes, so it won't take long to get the whole thing.

It ends with a kind-of-conclusion, but it's not 100% satisfying.

I was a fan, but if I knew it was going to be truncated, I don't think I would have bothered.

It was my out-of-left-field surprise favorite of last year. It really did a great job hearkening back to 50's style monster flicks, so if that's your bag, get it.

Put another way - if you know who Forrest Ackerman is, you'll like the series, truncated or not.

I really liked it. I was sad that it didn't come back again.

I do remember some harsh critics from the threads about the show, though. But you can't please everyone! I say give it a try.

I watched the whole season, and was kind of into it, but I'd say it was only ok. Having the rug yanked out from under it makes it seem worse than it probably was, though.

If you have a lot of spare time to kill (not that it takes very long), I'd watch it. However, if time is short and you ever find yourself having to make decisions about what shows are worth your time, I'd probably pass on this.

I'd say "No" and I liked the show.

It ends with an unresolved cliffhanger, so why cause yourself pain?

Very good show.. I'd say yes.. Also Netflix Invasion and Threshold... (though I admit I haven't netflixed the latter yet, to see the unaired eps that are on the DVDs).

I liked the first 12 episodes; ep 13 ended preposterously, and made me feel betrayed.

I liked it, but I would tell you to only watch it, if you don't mind a show that ends on a semi-cliffhanger.

I really liked it; the pilot hooked me right in.

Sometimes the special effects were a bit cheesy in a SciFi channel movie kind of way (and sometimes they were really good). And sometimes parts of the plot were a bikt far fetched in a Prison Break / 24 sort of way. The story is very 'ambitious'.

It has has many blatant elements of early Spielberg movies "E.T", "Jaws", and "Close Encounters"; it's almost as if the writers are trying to do an homage to that era of his movies. Not sure if he'd be flattered or insulted.

A great tale to watch unfold with wonderful cliffhangers. Unfortunately, the conclusion, although not an outright leaving the viewer hanging, does not fully resolve things.

I enjoyed it, for the most part. I'm glad I watched, though I was disappointed when it wasn't renewed...especially after the cliffhanger ending.

I think it was actually 15 episodes rather than 13. Two more hours shouldn't make a difference in your decision to watch, though.

I'll also chime in here with the same sentiment. Loved the show; disappointed it was yanked without full resolution. Still have hopes that a mini might pop up some day to tie up all the loose ends.

I really, really, REALLY enjoyed Surface.

As far as the series-end cliffhanger is concerned, if I recall it's only the final scene. The major story arc (and minor arcs) were all resolved by the end. What left the viewer hanging was the "penelope pitstop" cliffhanger.

Without spoiling anything, it's the typical, "how will they get out of this" situation.

It was a very satisfying TV show.
