I have a TiVo mini (old style) and a newer TiVo mini VOX.

One of my TiVo minis will be moved to a location that does not have line of sight to my viewing position.

I would like to still use my Logitech Harmony IR remote to control the mini.
(Since I have both styles of the minis I can choose which one to move to the new location.)

I know I can buy a standard IR Extender / IR Blaster and attach the blaster to the mini but I know the blasters can come loose with time.

But is there a way to extend the IR sensor of the mini using a connection through the USB port?

    Thanks,
    Vance

No, not that I've seen reported here by anyone.

    Thanks for the reply.
I think they feel that since they offer an RF remote they don't need to offer an IR extender.
However, while I like the TiVo remote, I prefer the Logitech Harmony IR remotes since I can control all my equipment.

IR transmitters use to come with a donut shaped two sided sticky pad. It was placed over the "eye" and the transmitter was attached to that. It worked really great. You might try making your own out of a two sided sticky pad.
