IR channel 3 - not on the VOX remote?

    Thought maybe the Tivo/Pause procedure might have changed because I could not get this VOX remote to use Ch 3. Channels 1, 2, 4, 5, 9 (the only others I tried) worked OK. So I just used 4, right arrow, success. Was just curious if Channel 3 now had some special purpose.

    That would seem odd. Are you doing it while its on the System Information screen?

    Normally, I would do the Tivo + Pause then 1-9, then do ChDn or ChUp to view the Remote Address line to confirm. Then just left arrow to exit that screen. This does not involve the RF mode and only while in IR mode.

    Duh, just thought about checking the obvious. The 3 button is apparently broken on this new remote. That's a first in life for me - never had any new remote with a button that didn't work. It's perfectly clicky and feels normal, just doesn't transmit when pressed.
