Yes. If you bring up the app and you can't log in due to no wifi, there's a "Shows on my device" option where you can just watch the shows you've downloaded.

Does anyone know if you can stream from the tivo app to a device like a chromecast or roku?

if so this would replace a Slingplayer

    That's not an iOS feature.

Also seems to download in the background. No more having to keep the ap open. Might actually get me to update my iPad.

I mean it depends what you mean. iOS programs can and do support that.

that’s great to hear! I didn’t realize that. Would be nice to be able to use it or shut off the screen without the download stopping.

I wish the program supported the iPad’s picture in picture thing.

I don’t think this was answered, so anyway yes, that’s always been the case.

someone correct me if there’s a chance you can get logged out and then need to log in before seeing them. I’m not sure about that, but otherwise it works well imo.

If you get logged out and cannot log back in (airplane mode, TiVo servers down, etc) you can click "shows on my device" and watch things you've already downloaded from your TiVo.

now if only downloading actually worked.. that would be awesome.. the streaming device (either separate or the one in my roamio pro) apparently crashes very often (has happened for years, I tried reporting bugs many times but never got anywhere). I would PAY one time for this to get fixed, but instead I got hulu no commercials.

I probably should have just gotten that third party streamer device years ago.

I’ve never had any issues streaming or downloading from it, but I’m using a Bolt, which maybe works better.

Yup. I could’ve answered that question a lot better. The TiVo iOS app doesn’t support Chromecast.

yeah, like has been discussed in other threads, it basically doesn't work for some of us, and works flawlessly for others.
