iOS 11.2.5, TiVo for iOS 3.7.9 (all my iOS devices affected)

[Please note.. This is not a streaming question. I have never been able to get streaming to work. I am off the grid as of step 5 below.]

For a long time I had no problem with this use case"
    1. Open TiVo app on my iOS device while on my home WiFi network.
    2. Find a show in my recording list.
    3. Select Download
    4. Carefully leave the TiVo iOS app running in foreground (or download always pauses)
    5. Leave house.
    6. Restart TiVo app (a must whenever coming or going from home network for some reason)
    7. Go to my downloaded recordings and select one.
    8. "Play on iPhone/iPad"
Months ago this worked. I could listen to Colbert's monologue on the way to work or get network TV morning news sitting at my kids practice in a lawn chair. Wonderful..

    Then a few months ago..

When I playback a downloaded file on my iOS device it plays for about 10 seconds (or a little more) and stalls. The app just sits there. The app thinks it is playing (the pause "||" is there with a frozen screen). Even the rewind button works. The App thinks it is playing.

    Anyone else seeing this?
