Journey to the West was also the basis for the relatively recent game Enslaved.

Looks like it could be pretty good.

Anyone catch this? I happened to catch the tail end of the season finale and it looked decent. I started it from VOD and am enjoying it. Reminds me of a cross between Firefly (the mix of cultures) and Crouching tiger hidden dragon (the aerial martial arts). I like it.

I watched it. Was pretty good. Too short a season though, didn't progress the story very far.

I tried to get into it, but found it a bit flat. The only character I really liked was the Quinn. No other character was fleshed out enough to make me get past the nonsensical setting. I didn't hate it, but I doubt I'll bother watching season 2. To be fair, I've never been a huge martial arts film fan.

Yeah I'm having a very hard time keeping interest in it...
I'm not sure what it is because the fight sequences are great - it is just not that captivating.

I liked it a lot and hope it comes back next season with more episodes.

    Quinn's southern accent was terrible.

Who said it's a southern accent? Maybe that's the way they speak in far-future Wisconsin, where Quinn comes from? ;)

I didn't find it compelling enough to go around recommending it, but I enjoyed it, watched them all and would be in for another season.

I still have 4 unwatched episodes on the DVR. Since my DVR is nearly empty currently, that's not a good sign.

Just didn't grab me enough. I may end up watching the final 4 when I have nothing else to watch, but odds are I'll just end up deleting them.
