Insight + Dolby Digital + Series 3

    I have a new series 3 with two cable cards from Insight that I am having audio problems with. When I first boot my Tivo and it goes through the THX, my receiver plays audio in Dolby Digital mode. However once I go to live or recorded programming it switches back to PL II. I can't think that I have something hooked up incorrectly with it playing Dolby D on boot. So my question is, anyone else having a similar problem with Insight Cable?

    I don't know about your provider, but most of my channels w/ FIOS TV are PCM, not Dolby Digital. The only ones that come over with DD sound are the HD channels.

    The channel you are tuning to has to be transmitting in Dolby Digital for your receiver to recognize it.

    You should also check your S3 DD settings by going to Messages and Settings --> Settings --> Audio --> Dolby Digital. Make sure "Dolby Digital" is selected instead of "DD to PCM".
