I plan on buying the new mini soon, so I am going to have to upgrade at that point. That said, I am happy to wait a week or two just to see how it all plays out.

I am not listening to any of you though, most of you would complain about your own mothers cooking if she put it on a different plate! :)

THIS! Maybe. From what I've seen I'm not going to like Hydra anyway.

Yes...sort of. I'll do Hydra on my Bolt, but I have a Roamio that is used most by the family; I'll take a "wait and see" approach on that box since it impacts more than just me.

Maybe it’s just me, but I really don’t much care about the user interface, especially on the TiVo box. Most of the time I only use the box interface to start a recording. I do all my management, set one passes, recordings, search, etc., on my iPad.

I'm weary of being a paying BETA tester and TiVo/ROVI has repeatedly shown they can't get software/guides right even after they had time to correct what shouldn't have been problems in the first place.

When TiVo/ROVI shows me they can get the guide info and channels right for an extended period of time I'll give Hydra the consideration it is due... NONE.

The UI we have now works. Hydra appears to be lipstick on a pig that doesn't really offer any significant improvement over what we have.

I've been meaning to buy another Tivo to handle some OTA channels not on cable and as a backup for locals. I pulled the trigger on the small Vox. That will let me dabble with Hydra.

Looks like it's almost split down the middle on who will be upgrading on Sunday and who won't.

I have 2x Roamio Pros and a Mini Vox on order from Amazon.....I'll upgrade my 'spare' Roamio so if I need to rollback won't have me sleeping in the other room.

I will wait and read feedback from customers first. I just went through Hulu's change to a very graphical UI and it is now more frustrating than ever browsing and clicking to find anything. I cancelled my account. I am hopeful Hydra isn't doing the same thing. If it is that drastic and harder to locate programming I will stay with the UI we have now. It's easy to navigate and locate things.

I used TiVo to watch recorded TV. I use Amazon Firestick to stream. (Bolt+ is an OK streamer but Firestick is better.) I use pytivo to transfer content to TiVo from PC.

I do not want more streaming options via TiVo. Streamers like Firestick, Roku, etc., are a passing fad IMO and lead to watching less content.

How would having more options hurt you? Seems to me it's win-win...you don't have to use them, and people who want them are happy.

Hulu was always graphical. They’ve gone to a huge text, huge picture, single show at a time presentation. It is awful.

My comment was not a gripe.

Message to TiVo is make what you sell work. No problem with new technologies, add-ons, etc., as long as there are no unintended consequences. Just this week for the first time in months TiVo online is working again like it used to before Rovi.

Would be much easier to make an informed decision on the upgrade path and timing if we could get a list of functionality known not to be working at the present time. If the items not working are features I rarely if ever use, will make the decision much easier.

I don’t recall anyone mentioning features in the current software that are not working in Hydra. AFAIK, it’s all there in Hydra, it just looks different.

This is exactly why the poll is here. Take the risk into the unknown on the 29th or wait so you can make an "informed decision".

Given Rivo's track record since the merger, there should be a 'Hell No!' option for the poll which I would have picked. Guess No will have to do. :D

In all seriousness I don't care about the UI, I just want it to work so I can schedule and watch shows. The simpler the better, and to me that means no extraneous graphics and attempts at categorization which I have absolutely no need for. Comprehensive NP and ToDo lists are all I need and that's what we have now. But I don't keep 100+ shows on my Tivo even though I have 80 or so 1Ps and ARWLs - I watch and delete so there's not much to look through.

For all those Hydra Beta Testers that have to wait until 10/29 to post about it, the main question I have is do TiVo Desktop, PYTiVo, & KMTTG still work.
