Humans (Humans (TV series) - Wikipedia) Season 3 begins airing in the US on Tuesday 6/5/2018 (10:00pm) on AMC. (At this point the first three episodes have aired in the UK)

Since Season 2 ended over a year ago, this thread serves as a reminder to check, fix, or recreate your season passes.

And it can serve as a open discussion thread for Season 3 episodes after they air in the US. Although this thread may not get much traction - I don't think we ever had any Season 2 discussion threads.

The mere fact that the show was returning snuck up on me, so I thought I'd start a thread in case anyone else wasn't aware it was returning.

Guess I'm not cancelling cable for a little while longer.

I was going to cancel too but between this, Teachers, and 12 Monkeys it’s hard to find a one month window to go without so I can reset the bill to introductory rates. By August the excuse will be Better Call Saul.

I've been enjoying S3 so far. Excited to talk with you guys about it when the episodes are officially available in the US.

Speaking of 12 Monkeys, I thought the show was over. We never watched the last episode because at first we were sad and didn't want it to be done, then it kinda went to the backburmer of the brain, I guess. I have no idea why we thought it was over. Maybe because of some tweets from Amanda Schull with pictures that looked like a wrap up party, and them she returns to Suits. Everything fit.

So I'm going to have to rewatch the last couple episodes (including one I have not seen) before the final season comes out.

I don't really want to talk about the show because I just saw episode 4 and I don't want to get confused about what was in which episode. But I will say, I love this show! It really grapples with some pretty big issues in some pretty interesting ways.

I enjoy this series quite a bit.

The little boy synth, Sam, reminded me a little of young Carl in The Walking Dead. They only needed to keep an eye on him and they failed at that.

Episode 6 was a gut-punch episode. It was bad enough losing Karen, but Sam going the way of Anatole was too much. So much darker than S1 and S2, but stronger than both.

Wish they'd commit to S4 already.

What's up with the naming of this series? S3E1-4name 301-304, then episode 5 and episode 6, like 1 and 2, but the ep number on rovi are screwed up.

I was kind of shocked that Laura named Sam when she was forced to choose between him and a complete stranger. It seemed way out of character for her.

Not entirely surprising considering where she was in Season 1. Some of that anti-Synth bias had to exist. Laura believes synths have emotions and deserve rights, but I don't think she really believes synths have souls.

It didn't seem believable to me that Laura didn't push back on her 'choice', since it was under duress. The character would be smart enough to point out that no matter who she named, ultimately it was Anatole giving the order.

Finale next week. Looks like Mattie may be the cliffhanger.

Yes, Laura was very anti-synth early on, but her character has evolved greatly since then. She has even put her own family at risk in order to champion synth rights. You may be correct about her not believing that synths have souls, but I don't recall any conversation that Laura had that would indicate this. That's why I found her decision so perplexing.
