I am going to have an HR10-250 co-existing with an older Standard def Directivo.

Do they use the same IR codes? You have a choice of two? Are they the same two?

    Thanks,

You need to switch each off of address "0", to a different one each from 1-9. See this post.

This must be in a FAQ somewhere.

There are 10 different code sets. Any TiVo and any TiVo remote can be set to anyone of those code sets. The instructions are in the manual.

Code zero is the universal one, a TiVo set to zero will respond to any code, a remote set to zero will control any TiVo. Zero is the default for both, you need to set both TiVos to other code sets to make this work. Most TiVo remotes have a 1-2 switch which switch between 2 code sets.

Thanks to all. I am intimate with the process for regular Directivo units. Just was not sure on the 250,

    Thanks,
