DW has been recording some cable news programs that repeat within 24 hours. They show up in the To Do list multiple times. I assume they will record once for each instance listed. I have been deleting the duplicates that were scheduled. What a pain!

Is there someway to edit the one pass to record only once?

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, guide data on cable news programs is often woefully incomplete, and the TiVo has no good way of telling when/if the repeats are in fact repeats. So on a 1pass it just sets up to record them all and lets you sort it out.

Your other option then is to set up manual recordings for the channel/day of week/time that the program typically airs.

I do the manual also on news. Before that I chose keep only 1. Even though it still records again it deletes the previous one.

    schatham,
    Interesting. Thanks for the input.
I have schedule the recordings via the manual method, first time I've used that, and I think that is the answer for this situation.
    Thanks again!
