I have a season pass defined for category=mysteries. All too often however Scoobie Doo episodes are recorded, despite the fact that I give 3 thumbs down to all such episodes.

Is there a way to prevent programs from recording?

Can you edit the auto recording to exclude title=Scooby?

    Something like:
    Title Keyword: -Scooby
    Category: Mysteries

thumbs up or thumbs down do not, I believe, have any effect on wish list or season pass recordings. They only affect suggestions.

wish lists and season passes record ALL matching programs. Amnesia's suggestion above is probably the best way to take care of this.

this has to be an autorecord wishlist if you have a category and the correct answer is indeed to exclude the Title.

go into edit wishlists and there is help right on the screen to guide in editing for this

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, I should have noted that I understand these are distinct selection mechanisms. I thought I would see suggestions/complaints about how to blacklist/exclude certain programs/keywords/genre from taping. All it takes is one Scooby Doo marathon to wipe out other pre-recorded program to get a person pissed off.

So apparently there is a way (I'm so past looking for documentation). And
I got better search results the third time around, and found "A Favorites pass-- with an exception? Is it possible" and which jives with Amnesia's thought. I am not allowed to post the link, but it is thread 455649. ALso 384970.

And there is also on the tivo website tipsandtricks pg2

Sounds like you could benefit from a bigger hard drive, as well.

That is exactly why I decide to help the OP. Theye were so far removed from the technology to begin with I could see the bewildered look in the eyes through the forum post.

It's what you use to cover up the hidden camera built into your TiVo.

If the OP would remove the Scooby Doo tape from the TiVo, no more episodes would be recorded. ;)
