Hello: Is there any way to have Season Passes without also having the "Three-minute replays" recorded as well? They look just like regular recordings in the "Now Playing" page and I get tired of deleting something I never wanted.
    Thanks.

Are you talking about the TV Guide Three-Minute Replays (thanks, Google)? If so, setting a Season Pass for a program should not record anything on a different channel.

Something else (e.g. Suggestions, Wish-list, etc.) is causing Three-Minute Replays to be recorded.

I never heard of "three minute replay" so had to do a Google. Guess this is a feature of FX network. Don't know the answer to your question, but while looking for this I found "Damages" which I hadn't seen before. It's now in my Season Pass list. Thanks.

These might be ads that TiVo records based on your season passes. I currently have one for '24' on my Now Playing.

No. It's FX doing 3 minute replays of the previous episode of Damages. They did it for The Shield also. Drives me nuts.

I suspect that a variation of the [thread=373836]Daily Show wishlist trick[/thread] would work nicely. (Of course, you'd have to switch to an autorecording wishlist rather than a season pass)

Just use "three minute replay" as the negative keyword (step 4). (of course make sure you enter it exactly like FX does)

    I posted this yesterday:
This would replace your season pass for Damages.

You can do the same thing for other FX shows with 3 min replays.

Thanks much for the ideas. If these 3 minute versions did not look just like the regular shows in the Now Playing list, they would be easier to kill off. I will try the wish list fix.

I just peruse my To Do list once a week or so and weed out the unwanted upcoming recordings.

It certainly IS annoying...had to delete those every week during The Shield's final run. Methinks someone at FX found a way to nail TiVo users....

I do that every few days, too.

Yes! These were DANG annoying when I was recording SOA on my TWC DVR. I forgot about them and now that I have a TiVo I'm sure I'll get those in my NPL.

Maybe I'll turn SOA into a Wishlist and exclude the word replay or something FX puts in the description/title?

    BKDTV beat me to it.

I just delete them manually. I figure the worst that can happen is I forget or don't notice, and three minutes of SD space are taken up on my hard drive until I realize it's there and delete it.

I'm the same way but I worry that the 3 minute replay might bump something else that I would rather watch.

Other than that, it's just an annoyance.

Fortunately, they're always in the middle of the night when I usually don't have anything recording, let alone two things simultaneously!

Looks like FX has stopped labeling these episodes as "Three Minute Replay", so not weeding them out with an auto recording wishlist doesn't work anymore. Very annoying.
