I actually had no problem with that.
The info button will give you the full description.
The fun part of that one is that John Oliver does not appear on the Spanish hbo channel.
Three lines in the hydra guide (and mini guide) and an expanding info bar in hydra (up to five lines, I think) makes it a lot less likely to miss information on a movie or show. Also, one info button push gives you everything. That isn’t true in the older GUI.
Yep, Oliver is hard to understand with that strong English accent, isn't he? But then you don't really need to understand his words since the message is always the same: Whatever the problem is, it's caused by greedy global capitalism.
Another TOTALLY, stupid listing by Rovi! (guess which one is Rovi & which one is by the "other, accurate" guide provider)
Perry Cosmo Classics - Till The End of Time
(NO other info provided...of course)
Perry Como Classics: Till the End of Time (My Music)
7:30 PM on WSECDT 14.1 • TV-G • Stereo • CC
Hosts Peter Marshall and Nick Clooney take a look at Perry Como's hit songs as seen on restored episodes of his television shows from the 1950s-1980s.
Ha, I’d taken a screenshot of that page and had meant to post it.
It’s recently been updated/corrected and, ironically, now has the description, “The 2018 general elections in Mexico are the focus.”
Should I bother to report yet another stupid error in the Rovi data? The SyFy channel has had the movie "300" in its rotation for many months -- that movie about the Spartans with the graphic novel style, you know the "tonight we dine in hell" one. Well, instead of 300 the guide has been listing 300" -- that's '300"' with the double-hash mark used for inches. The movie "300 inches" must exist because it has a description for a documentary about snowboarding; it's impossible to search for in IMDB. It was funny the first time I noticed the error; now it is just painfully sad.
Since we are tracking weird guide quality, I submit tonight's The Tonight Show. Gracenote, TiVo and tvguide.com have bad metadata. However it's complete on titantv.com, so who shall we blame?
Stupid! I really don't have too much trouble with the guide data, but on a sorta related issue, on TE3, sometimes the program description is on the side in the entry in My Shows, but when you get into the entry detail, that program description is gone. This happens from time to time. I don't expect them to ever fix it (or will they? LOL), but I was wondering if that ever happens on TE4? Just wondering...
Just happened to me last evening (Gen3, Bolt)--a schizophrenic interface.
