I upgraded to a Series 2 DT and am looking to sell my modded Series 1. I added an additional HD to it to bring it from the original 14 hours up to 130+ hours. Are there any classifieds forums here or anyone know of a good place to sell it? Also, what's a good asking price for that?

    Thanks!

no place here, so the usual suspects of ebay, craiglist etc..

how modded is the series 1? just a HD upgrade or software mods as well?

What OS version? is it lifetimed? Can it do manual recordings?

It is just a HD upgrade. It doesn't have a lifetime subscription and as far as I know it can do manual recordings.

    Potato and pen.
You said "an HD upgrade", but in your original post you made it sound like you added a second drive to the original.

Which is it? One drive or two?

Sorry for the confusion. I added a 2nd driver /w larger capacity to bring the total up to 130+ hours.

I wouldn't expect to get much for it if I were you. Even with lifetime service Series 1 TiVos are only worth about $250. Without it they're basically worthless except to hackers.

Is $50 too much to ask?

Probably about what you'll get on eBay.

You can do an advanced search on ebay for completed listings and see what recent trades have received.
