"I need the flexibility and mobility that only underwear can provide!"

"Theodore Mosby, are you paying these women?"

    "I have TB...tiny bladder."

"I want to take clothes off them, not put more on!"

"That's cause I used to practice all the time on my grandmother."

"You didn't do it, did you? Did you? You did, didn't you?" :D

First great episode of the season. Barney's failed tricycle was hilarious.

    Barney has an iPhone.

    GREAT episode!!

My head is exploding with TV show character crushes. Danica McKellar returns (yay, I think she is oh so super hot!), who was the girl from the first season's "The Pineapple Incident", and of course from The Wonder Years and The West Wing. Plus Busy Philipps from Freaks & Geeks fame. Awesome tricycle.

Score!! Or, more appropriately, Ted scores. Or maybe he doesn't.

"You didn't do it. You didn't do it. You did it. You did it, didn't you? Did you? You didn't do it. Yes you did! You did. No, you... you... Tell me!" Barney still gets all the best lines. Plus, he bought an actual belt. :)

PS: Did we actually see Danica McKellar in "The Pineapple Incident"?? I remember Ted blacking out and waking up with the pineapple, but the rest of the episode is hazy.

Ted is lame enough that I can believe he didn't do it.

BTW, if a tricycle gets you a belt, what does a quadricycle get you (and does it come in my size ;))?

Argh! I was getting really bad audio dropouts during this episode, and missed at least half of the lines above? Anyone else with this issue, or is it just my TiVo?

Yeah, I had the same thing. Since we're in the same area, I wonder if this was a KIRO problem or a Direct problem.

This was an excellent episode. Lots of great lines. It's great that this show doesn't seem to be losing anything from previous seasons.

One thing: what happened to Robin? Last I remember seeing her she fell in the restaurant bathroom; did they just drop that whole plotline? It seemed kind of unresolved.

The surgeon went looking for her. The waitress who bought her the razor looked in the bathroom and saw Robin on the floor. The waitress then told the surgeon that Robin wasn't in there and the window was open, and then made a successful play for the surgeon. The second after they walked off the stage, Robin entered looking woozy, announced, "I'm OK! I'm bleeding!" (in a comic fashion) and then hit the floor again.

I am definitely down on this show now. In terms of being funny, it's very funny. It is just getting too crewd for me. What happened to values? I would not want my kids watching this kind of stuff and it's no network TV. Sad. Same goes for two and a half men.

    What happened to spelling?

The show has values---they're just not yours.

Values? I don't get it. No one can impose their values on a TV show. If you don't like it, don't watch it, and don't let your kids watch it.

This has never been a family show. NEVER. It is often crude. A big part of the show has been about Barney, Ted, and Robin lookin' for love. And tricycles. :)

Its getting a tiny bit crude for me too, not because it violates my 'values', but because its just a different kind of humor that I don't think is as funny as the plot-driven stuff from least season.
