How do I change the guide to show channels lower to higher in the up position?
I have no idea but to get a good answer you have to tell us:
Which guide are you using Live Guide or Grid Guide
Also you need to mention if you are using the new Hydra UI or the old HDUI.
It sounds like you mean you want them higher to lower top to bottom?
You can't.. (and IMHO, that's weird!)
Yes, ascending, not descending by channel number.
Higher to lower, top to bottom. The same way the channel up and down button work. I am using the new GUI and I think the grid. I don't know what the Live guide is.
I think you're overthinking it.. Think of the channel up/down button just as a scrollbar to move you up/down.
Yeah, but when in the guide, the channel up button moves you down in the guide and the channel down button moves you up. But when watching tv the channel up button, changes the channel up and the down button changes the channel down, which is backwards from the guide. Me thinks that TiVo did not think at all.
that's the way most ipg's work
Not on my DISH (You have a choice) and not on my former Brighthouse receiver.... UP for higher channels is more intuitive. That said I have become used to the TIVO way but I wish you could change it.
Delete the channels you don't watch to free up the clutter....
I would have to delete all but one for them to be lower to higher Even if I had two, they would be decending.
I believe you got it backwards. Most tv guides are published in ascending order or they give you the choice of changing to your preference.
Back when, there was a tvguide channel. It scrolled up and in ascending order. Then TVGOS came about. It also (since it was Rovi) acted like the TiVo guide. Understand, I agree it's not intuitive. But I have bigger problems right now.
The channel guide in newspapers were like this for DECADES before Tivo even existed.
