Wow. Still, yet - more Wow.

I'll just start the thread with not a lot to say early on, BUT....

So since everybody passed the polygraph we are to assume that he had the razor blade all along? Oh, Sgt. Brody was lying (about not cheating on his wife.)

The voice giving the "Take a different route" warning on the phone is clearly a (caucasian?) American male. And when we see the car mirror of whoever watching the house it looks like Carrie's partner's car, but could also be Brody's Buick(?!!!) but we know where he was.

It looks like it's very hard to leave your job in a terrorist sleeper cell. They HAVE to find his shot-up body, right?

I don't think we'll see Mike hanging around anymore.

Saul did have a blip on the polygraph, but he claimed to always have them. They didn't get a baseline for Brody lying. The whole thing was kind of stupid in any case, and it lost a tiny morsel of writing credibility to me by even using a polygraph as a plot device in the typical hollywood manner without addressing any shortcomings or real-world ideas.

I am fairly certain there will be 12 episodes this season.

Polygraphs are stupid. A true psychopath can pass the with trivial ease. They catch honest people with tiny lies but seldom catch big fish. Or so my CIA friend says....

Saul was uptight about being pulled out of the meeting. he passed smoothly the second day, but they can still make this a clue if Saul is supposed to be the mole.

Being that both Saul and Sgt. Brody passed it just shows that the polygraph is worthless.

The true purpose is get people to confess by acting like they know right now that you're lying.

Their biggest power is in the fear of taking them.

That sex scene between Brody and Carrie lasted about 20 seconds. I wonder if he was thinking about baseball in order to stretch it out for that length of time. ;)

If only Carrie had known of the old war-time poster "Loose Lips Sinks Ships" (double-entendre pun intended).

    Interesting twists in this episode:
    1. Saul's blip on the polygraph;
    2. the American lady being in control of the "marriage" to the Arab, and with her now on the run on her own.

Right; one thing we know for sure about Brody... he hides what seems to have "really" happened during his captivity well.

Between this and Boss I want to know where the hot blondes that will after a few minutes yank down their skinny black bikini panties so you can just stick it in have been. I've always had to invest a little time getting there.

Act like a terrorist; that's all that is required for carrie. Or being in a bar. Or breathing.

Carrie does seem to have issues. ;)

Kind of amazing that "Woman gets into car" can be such an effectively creepy cliffhanger!

I was thinking as I watched that we know from on Kate Harper the West Wing that the CIA field agents are supposed to be trained trained to handle their liquor, but Carrie is off the reservation in more ways than one.

I don't understand why Brody lied about the infidelity. He must have known that Carrie was behind the mirror. So now she knows that he can lie on a polygraph. What's the upside? Wouldn't it have been better to just admit that he's a cheater?

Well, if there was any doubt that Brody has psychological issues, this ep proved it. Any man who would fool around on Morena Baccarin ain't completely sane.

Although if you're going to fool around on Morena Baccarin, Claire Danes ain't a bad choice!

I was wondering the same thing. The only thing I can come up with is that Brody was toying with Carrie. Maybe he guessed she would not tell anyone else that they had sex. But that would be a hell of a guess, because I was scratching my head why Carrie did not tell Saul about it. She has certainly done worse, and by telling Saul, she proves that Brody can lie without a blip on the polygraph.

I know we don't discuss the previews for next week, but there was some great stuff in there, and some really intriguing things.

Could that possibly have been just next week, there was tons in there.

Maybe there's a mole inside the CIA? Maybe Brody is on an official mission to uncover the mole, and very few people know about it? Maybe Saul is the mole?

Pure speculation, but that might explain Brody exposing himself to Carrie. For whatever reason, he trusts here enough now (or needs her on her side).

That would make for an interesting twist. When Saul was stressed out, he wasn't able to control himself enough to counter the polygraph. Only once he was calm again, he could do it.

Heck, that would even give Mandy Patinkin a convenient out at the end of the season.

Which is always a prudent strategy with Mandy Patinkin... :D

He could also go to India. I think they're giving him plenty of ways out.
