Ted now agrees with Zoe? OMG, what an idiot! I've had enough of him.
Lilly on Martinis? HOT!
Is anyone else bored of Ted and Zoe? I was SOOOO hoping that this would be the end of it.
Loved Marshall and Barney's drink off and the change of moods after each type of drink......oh BEER!!!
I will say Ted is fairly boring. He is the least interesting person on the show. He is like the fourth guy in the hangover.
The drinking idea was genius, but I think they could have done more with it.
Our LOL moment in this episode was the Bob Barker flashback.
"Show me chicken wings!"
Richard Dawson ... but whose counting?
I thought it was an ok episode as well - Part of me thought that Ted & Zoe broke up an episode or two prior, but I guess I was wrong...
Also, I do wonder if Zoe made up that story about her childhood @ the hotel.
Aw crap, that's what I meant. I could edit, but oh well ...
I was thinking that too after her little stunt getting him on tape at the museum thing.
I thought the thing with the girl stalking their booth was just stupid. It just fell flat. I loved the drinking idea and all the flashbacks for each person and how they react to the different alcohols.
Yeah. I don't care for Ted any more. And I haven't enjoyed Zoey, ever.
Right now the cockamouse is more entertaining than Ted.
It was ... until the pay off at the end. Then it worked for me.
Didn't Ted make a bet with Zoey that if she couldn't last the night in the Arcadian, she'd have to stop protesting and allow Ted to build his building? And didn't she lose that bet? So why was Ted then agreeing with her point of view when it was her that should be agreeing with his?
This is just another example of how everything to do with Ted is just a mess. It's really too bad that he's the main character (by virtue of the titular story) because otherwise, they could easily write him out and the show would not suffer at all.
This article in Entertainment Weekly seems to agree.
Barney once thought Bob Barker was his father, so you weren't that far off...
Ted is a stuck up ******.
Totally forgot about that. And what bothers me more is that they didn't even explain why Ted changed his mind.
As soon as it scurried by I screamed, "It's the cockamouse"! Funny they brought it back. Dumb they assumed it was the same exact one.
I agree with everyone else - Ted is a tool.
As happens in a lot of sitcoms, they have made him into something different than what his character was at the beginning of the show. I don't remember him being so effeminate and pretentious at the beginning, but the last 2 years they have really played that up. I think it makes the character less appealing and snobby.
I do remember Ted always being pretentious and snobby, but he was like-able at the same time. Lately the character just seems like a tool.
Hopefully the show creators have plans to make him like-able again, and this is after all his journey to meeting the mother of his children. Part of the journey might be his own personal growth, and that if he had met the women he's going to marry any sooner, she probably would think the same thing we're thinking (that he's a tool) and not have stayed with him.
Sure they did---they showed him coming out of his room after (presumably) having sex with Zoey...
