I’m already on a 2TB drive. As we get closer to moving in a month, I will probably get a new drive and clone. Then after we move probably get a new power supply.

Well, apparently my wife is a little tired of all my talk about options this, hard drives that, power supplies this, etc....

She said if we can’t get it to boot with existing hardware to just buy a new one and we’ll pay annually for service.

Soooooo, I now begin the daily attempts at customer service roulette to see if I can get a CSR to let us move the LT for $99.

Haven’t been able to get the service transfer option to happen. But I did get an offer today that I took. A TiVo renewed bolt 500 for $99 and all-in for $349 rather than the new $549 pricing. 2+ years to break even based on annual pricing. I just couldn’t refuse this. I’ll operate on the 500gb for a month or so until after we move and then I’ll drop in a 2tb drive. And once we move I may just take a stab at replacing the one bad cap on my PS in my HD.

It's not one bad cap, hit all the usual suspects, there's a list in a sticky..

    Congrats on the deal!

I would agree that's a good deal. The lifetime transfer promo we did for a Bolt 500GB was $300 total last year so pretty decent with no promotion going on right now (and you still have your HD with lifetime on it).

Agreed Diane! The house we are buying ha a nice basement and I think the sellers are leaving the work bench that down there. Will be a great place to tinker with a soldering iron and what not!

I was willing to play CSR roulette longer but when they mentioned the discount for LT I just couldn’t pass that up. Now I get hope the Comcast/xfinity self service card pairing works easily!

Dumb question....my season pass list sits in the cloud, right? So once I rerun guided setup on the new box that list should push down?

Just in case I took pics of my list to make it easy to recreate if needed....

Clarify something please. Did your new deal require moving your Lifetime service off the TiVoHD? If so, you may not be able to re-activate it.

kmttg allows me to save and reload SPs on my Roamio, but for my TiVoHD, I can't use that feature. All I can do is export a copy of what's on my Now Playing list. But don't take my word for it, ask in the kmttg thread and get confirmation there.

No, this deal did NOT require a transfer of lifetime service. It was a new LT.

Excellent. I stupidly left my HD on monthly, so now if my credit card burps, I'm screwed. Just wanted to warn anyone else on monthly who has to send their box off for repair to keep paying for their service, or else.

My TiVoHD needs power supply work. This lets me start with a new box and modern tech and gives me the time to try and fix myself before just buying a new PS

Yeah, I got that. My TiVoHD may need a new power supply eventually, but we have the Roamio to keep us going in the meantime.

I think part of what helped get the deal (or maybe not) is that the CSR was fairly blown away that my HD had been in operation since 2005

No, you'll need to recreate your SP/1P on the new Bolt. When we got our Roamio in 2015, you could still transfer them either via TiVo Online or via kmttg (I did it with the latter at the time) but those options are no longer available due to dropped support for the S3.

I just confirmed that I CAN move my TiVo HD season passes to my Bolt using TiVo Online. I created a season pass on the TiVo HD, then logged into TiVo Online. Under Manage, OnePass Manager, it's listed under the TiVo HD. I dragged it to the Bolt's list. I confirmed on the Bolt that it is in the OnePass list.

Keep your pictures though. I seem to remember when I did this last April there were a few that were missed. They may not have been in the TiVo Online OnePass Manager list.

I also confirmed that I cannot manage season passes for my TiVo HD in kmttg v2.4b.

When I login to Online, it says “your TiVo box is not supported by TiVo online”. Why wouldn’t I be able to see my TiVoHD on there if you were?

I get that message on many of the options for the TiVo HD on TiVo Online. However, the Manage option shows the list of season passes.

Do you have your new Bolt yet? Does it's list of OnePasses show there?
