All of a sudden my Tivo has lost recorded and live audio.
Oddly enough, all the "system noises" (channel changing beeps and thumbs-up/down sounds) all still work, but all programme audio has gone. I've changed scart leads, treble-checked the connections and still the problem persists. The video signal is fine as ever, though. I tried changing the audio settings from Nicam to Mono with no effect. I've restarted Tivo a few times and even left it unplugged overnight (getting desperate!)

The audio is fine when Aux is pressed or I switch away from the AV1 channel.

I'm not hugely techie (you can probably tell from my description of the fault), and would really welcome any suggestions. I don't want to leave Tivo for Sky+, but my family are getting very edgy.....

    TIA,
    Dave

Hmm, maybe your PSU has gone out of tolerance...

Have you tried increasing the 5V voltage by turning the blue pot slightly clockwise then restarting?

    South...
On a bad day more than one restart from the system menu is required.

    Automan.

You're not going to believe this - it was the &@%ing SET TOP BOX!!!!!
Unplugged that, rebooted it and hey presto.

    I'm both relieved and ashamed!

If audio was present when you pressed AUX then it cannot have been the STB.

Anyway, all's well that ends well :)

My TiVo decided I would understand white noise last week. A reboot sorted it, after I'd double checked all my cables and freeview box.

My Dad's VCR lost audio recently & after going through all the 'clever' answers it turned out to be a loose SCART ... so easy to overlook the obvious!
