I just bought a HD Sony television but do not have the HD package yet. I have 3 R10 DVR's and 2 regular receivers. I do not want to lose my DVR in my living room I can live with the R10's everywhere else.

I am not under any type of contract, lease, etc. It is all my equipment. Knowing this is my shot to upgrade what is my best bet for a HD-DVR in my living room which is where we watch the majority of our television? This is all assuming of course a new dish will be installed as well for the HD.

I must admit in reading the posts technology has changed beyond what I have kept up with so I would appreciate input.

    Thank you.

If you want to receive all of DirecTV's new HD channels premiering in mid-September, you really only have one HD DVR choice .... the HR20 HD DVR.

What kind on dish do you have? To receive any of the new HD channels you will need a 5 LNB dish.
