Help! I think my TiVo Died

    Update: the capacitor was successfully replaced. Still had problems and then ran the extended KS54 to find out that the extended HD failed the tests. Now it's time to expand the internal drive.
    Ordered a WD10EARS drive from TigerDirect.
    Plan of attack is to divorce the external drive, and then use Winmfs to copy the contents of the original HD and then copy back to the expanded new HD.

    If you want to save your recordings before you divorce the external drive if you can.

    We've transferred, or will transfer, the recordings we want to a TivoHD. I'm under time pressure to get this done. There's a golf tournament this weekend that my wife wants to tape in its entirety. There's not enough room on the THD, even with its 500GB external drive.
