I have an HDVR2 that was freezing & occasionally rebooting, so I reluctantly went ahead with a "Clear & Delete Everything". It's now been over a week that it's been showing that it may take "up to an hour". What should I do next?

This unit doesn't have anyhacks but does have upgraded disks (2x120GB). Should I be using the kick start codes for re-formatting?

    Thanks for the help!

It's time to pull the drive and run a diagnostic on it. I'd bet the drive is dying or dead at this point.

Like Stanley said, time for a new drive. Don't bother with dual hard drives, just purchase a large single drive. 300gb PATA drive should give you around 265 hours of recording time.

OK, but I'd probably just retire this one and use the HR10-250. Is it worth a try with the kickstart codes, MFS checks, etc.? Thanks.
