There were a couple of very old HDMI splitter threads, but I'm looking for some newer information. I have a Tivo Premiere that I want to be able to watch on both a 46" LCD TV and a 24" Dell Ultrasharp monitor. Cable length is only about 10 feet to either device.

Monoprice has a nice cheap one here:
    http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10113&cs_id=1011301&p_id=8204&seq=1&format=2

There's also this somewhat similar-looking one from Amazon that at least has a couple of Tivo-specific reviews:

    http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Splitter...RMXI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313868454&sr=8-1

The Monoprice one claims HDMI 1.3 and 3D compatibility which may be a plus in the future.

(Edit: Also of note is this passive splitter from monoprice: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10113&cs_id=1011303&p_id=8153&seq=1&format=2 ... eliminating another wall-wart would be a plus, but there are no reviews on the passive splitter)

Anyone else had good luck with these or a similar splitters?

Either should work. When in doubt I always suggest monoprice.

One concern is that when splitting the signal, both outputs are downgraded (I believe) to the lowest level of either device. So if the monitor is 720p and the TV is 1080p, both will get 720p signal.

You can also use HDMI to TV #1, and component out to TV #2.

    Ft. Thomas,...
I have a BOCS system on the way in an effort to try to distribute TiVo (+ BluRay + STB) to kitchen and bathroom TVs that currently only have digital converter boxes on them.

Did a bunch of research on the topic this weekend. Understand it will not be HD, but for $100, + any additional remotes I will have to buy, I thought it was worth a shot.

If it works REALLY well, I will buy remotes for the 2 TVs that already have "local" TiVos attached so that I can also watch TiVo shows recorded on the main TiVo (2TB replacement drive) on those TVs.

Doesn't sound like you need this solution as your 2 TVs are so close together.
