Advertisements The HDMI port failed on my 3-year old Premiere XL4. Component cables work fine as a temp substitute, but I would rather use the HDMI port. Other devices work fine on the same HDMI cable and TV the TiVo had been using for the past two years -- so it seems as if the problem is the HDMI port on the TiVo. So the question is: How difficult is it to replace an HDMI port as a DIY project? What details do I need to know regarding the specifics of the port I buy as a replacement? Not particularly interested in shipping it off for repairs, would rather do it myself and save the $$. Thanks!
