I had a power interruption, and suddenly my HDMI connections to my Tivo Roamio Pro have stopped working. I've hooked up using RGB and get the message saying HDMI is disabled due to copyright issues. Apparently the power hit has changed the machine's status -- either on my Tivo Roamio or my Panasonic Viera. Changing cables and power cycling has no effect, nor does inserting a switcher. Is there some sort of handshake that had been done and was permanent until the power hit? I've been told using a splitter that ignores HDCP cures this, but why is it necessary? I've paid for the content already, so...?

The problem is probably in whatever you connect the Roamio to. If that device does not confirm that it will protect all that valuable video content from you, the filthy evil user who has paid to watch it, then the sending device chuckles and shuts you out.
