I currently have a SD tivo that works great. I do want to upgrade to a HD TIVO soon. Any suggestions? HD local channels are finally in Seattle, I think just NBC,CBS. Can I watch HD locals with the HD TIVO, and what about recording also. I checked CNET.COM and they showed a HD R250 for 345.00, is this the best HD TIVO on the market?

The OP neglected to state that he lives 150 miles from Seattle (link to old post) so OTA is impossible. Since the HR10-250 won't tune in MPEG4 locals via satellite you are SOL until the Series 3 Tivos are on the market and you switch to cable. Assuming your local cable company carries Seattle locals in HD.

    Do you mean the HR20....

Unless you are considered in the Seattle DMA (so you get Seattle Locals, which are broadcasted in MPEG-4) Then it might be worth it.
