The latest tips & tricks newsletter from DirecTV said they are having a Free Preview weekend of HBO, April 15-18. Channels 501-509.

I'll bump this thread early that week.

I saw that and I also just got it from freepreview.tv.

I pray, pray, pray that there will be some (one!) movie worth recording that weekend. I will be away then so will run through the guide soon to see.

I like when they have freeviews of starz and encore better since I tend to like older films.

    Only slightly off-topic:

I found this about HBO Go on Directv's website today. No mention of it on the HBO Go site, though.

Can I watch HBO® and Cinemax® movies and shows online?.

Yes! Starting April 7, DIRECTV customers will be able to watch movies and shows online on HBO GO® and MAX GO® — new streaming services, available to all HBO® and Cinemax® subscribers at no additional charge. There you’ll find hundreds of the latest Hollywood releases and original series, plus a ton of behind-the-scenes extras. Watch them right on your computer, anytime, anywhere — at no extra charge.

With Entourage, True Blood and Curb coming back this summer, looks like I'll be subscribing to HBO in June.

Also waiting for True Blood. Otherwise, we haven't missed HBO since we dumped it when the last season ended. Reminds me to check if it's time to kill off Cinemax which they gave me for free for 6 months.

Game of Thrones and Treme will get me to subscribe before June it turns out. I will probably wait until after the upcoming free weekend.

I ended up subscribing to Starz and Showtime over the weekend. I watched the first episodes of Camelot and The Borgias and decided I liked them both. DirecTV had a deal that you could get both channels for the price of one for 3 months. There is also a deal to get Cinemax free with HBO for 3 months. Hope that deal is still there next week. Then again, I don't really care about Cinemax.

My DirecTV bill is going to be over $100 for a couple months it looks. :(

If it follows the usual DirecTV free preview pattern, it will run from 6:00 A.M. Eastern on Friday to 6:00 A.M. Eastern on Tuesday.
