I upgraded to Tivo hardware subscribing to Vyve here in Texas.
It cuts off before the end on many set recordings even with it set 2 minutes late.
It consistently will record the same show over and over. We sometimes get 5 copies of the same show.
    Doesn’t this have a memory?
I’ve had Direct TV, Dish And now Tivo and Direct TV has the best hardware.

You may have the One Passes set to record all which will record multiple episodes of the same show over and over. As for recordings getting cut off, if its happening a lot I wonder if the time in your TiVo is off by a couple of minutes.

The Tivo time is identical to my phone.
The recordings is set to ‘new only’ in most cases. I would think once it records it once it shouldn’t feel the need to record it five more times.

Again, your settings may not be set correctly. Are you on cable, they can introduce time delays.

So reboot, see if it continues, and provide responses to the open questions if you would like to look to resolve.

The guide data for some cable shows is piss poor such that the info is incomplete and then the TiVo will record repeats to be on the safe side. The family of Discovery channels (Discover, Motor Trend, Science, etc.) is infamous for providing poor guide data.

Not sure what your issue is with the time. For a lot of channels I pad a minute or two and never have an issue.

Record what 5 more times? Be specific.

I am on broadband high speed Internet. I have had to reboot the box before in the past. We do get delays but not often. It seems to be consistent cutting 60 or 90 seconds before the end but only does it 50 percent of the time.

I have certain channels that don't seem to have their Clocks set correctly.

Two minutes is quite long, though...

Well, you have still not answered many of the questions folks are asking to help you out.

Did you check you season pass settings? What are they?
    What shows are repeating?
What channels/ shows are running long?

What question??? I have an example. If I didn’t answer something I don’t understand what your asking.
Have not had this long and sure did not get any instructions cause the company wasn’t given any instructions either.
It’s obvious Tivo wants you to figure it out on your own! It’s frustrating!

You've been asked for examples of shows for which you've specified "new only" which are recording five times.

You did give one example of a show that stops recording 1-2 minutes early. Thank you. But you seem to be saying that the show records "short" the same amount even after setting the recording to add 2 minutes. That seems very strange. What if you add more time?

I'd try to get frustration out of the way by keeping a written log of actual data for awhile. Set up recordings for a lot of shows just to get examples. Write down exactly what you set for overlap time and exactly what the result was. Every time a show records more than once when you've set "new episodes only", write it down.
