Anyone know if Tivo inc. had adressed this SDV debacle publically yet?
You mean like testifying before congress about it?
Have they done that?
I think he means has TiVo acknowledged that their devices do not receive SDV channels and that they are working towards a resolution to provide customers all of their available cable content. I think about SDV every time I see a THD ad somewhere, including the one on my TiVo right now...I keep looking for the disclaimer stating, Due to Switched Digital Video, you wont be able to receive all channels and your cable company will probably add new channels that you will not be able to receive either using our device. I cant wait to get rid of my SA8300HD DVR and replace it with a THD. Im just not willing to give up content though.

Why Yes, they have!
Does this affect Comcast users currently?
There's a whole SDV FAQ thread stuck at the top of this forum to answer that exact question.
thunder, in nj and denver, yes.
Yes, and they are apparently working on a solution. Read between the lines in here:
Are you sure about this? I'm pretty sure Denver is only an internal test site. I'm not aware of any channels that are SDV to customers.
I didn't realize that was a link. I'll have to give it a read. Thanks! Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel....I just want it now.
