So I finally binge-watched these over 2 nights! That was a fun ride. Thanks to Malcontent for recommending or at least starting the thread.

My thoughts exactly. Yes, intense and WTF, a comedy?

    Agreed. They were fun.

If you want to see more work from Jimmi Simpson (the psycho), try watching The Breakout Kings tv series.

Great. Looking forward to it. I am reading the 5th book in the series right now and they are great fun. Recommended if you like the series, as the first season stayed pretty true to the book although Hap and Leonard and other characters may be toned down a little in some of their banter.

Series 2 - Mucho Mojo based on the book by the same name premieres on the 15th.

The books plot is even darker than the first one.

I don't know if there is enough interest to start a new thread on Season 2 (Mucho Mojo). They look to mostly be staying to the important plot points of the book, which is something they did pretty well in season one.

I enjoyed the first episode of season 3. I am glad they are still going as it seems like I am the only one watching. Two bear Mambo is, in my opinion, one of the better Hap and Leonard books so I have high hopes for the season. I still love the fact that they are devoting a whole season to a single book. Even though the books are not large it allows them to flesh out the story and not cut too much for time restraints.

Nope, me and the wife are here too. Personally, I liked episode 1 but the wife didn't(not sure why though). I did feel like they could have done a little more in this episode as the beginning seems a little too slow and with only 6 episodes per season, they can't afford to waste much time.

They have done a really good job sticking close to the books, which are pretty quick reads. Two Bear Mambo is less than 300 pages.

For some reason this week the new episode showed up On Demand before it had even aired. I watched the third episode last night.

    Enjoying Hap and Leonard.
Been watching since S1, but for the life of me, I can't remember what happened to Trudy (Christina Hendricks).
I vaguely recall a car crash

Like the first two. Start studded with Lou Gossett Jr. and Dice Clay.

I thought season 3 was the weakest of the lot.
How long was Florida in the trunk in that climate. Considering they had to recover from getting beaten up.
Also they ended season 2 with a sort of cliffhanger that was never discussed in season 3.

I think about a week, from Christmas to New Years Day.
And I knew it was the mechanic the first time he was introduced and we were told it was at his hotel (motel?) that was the last place she was staying.

I initially felt it was going to be Andrew Dice Clay since he is a big name that had little screen time
