Guided Setup stuck in "pending restart" loop

    Setting up a brand new XL4. Each time I go through Guided Setup, it successfully connects and downloads, then finishes "loading info" and says "pending restart" to install an update. I restart, during which it does say "installing an update" with no indication that it failed. But when I restart Guided Setup, it gets to the same spot and is "pending restart" again. I've gone through it probably 10 times!

    I've tried it with an without an M-card inserted.

    Thanks for any ideas!

    Do I have the sequence of events correct?
    1. New out of box DVR connect to TV, Cable, plug it in and start initial setup.
    2. Go through the initial set up process of location and provider then after the getting data for your location download status is "Pending Restart"
    3. The DVR reboots to install the update.
    4. Repeat.
    Did you have to force the reboot or does the DVR do it on it's own?

    Are you giving the DVR enough time to install the update? The DVR may take over an hour to install the update and sort the data on initial setup before becoming usable.

    Why are you restarting guided setup?
