TivoSupport twitter gave me the old Repeat Guided Set-up :( I reiterrated that the problem is with their guide data, and also submitted a line-up issue ( https://t.co/lYZZqX1R5b?amp=1 )

Not very hopeful. Maybe if/when enough people start complaining someone will wake up the hamsters...

I just sent them another message asking if they followed up on my reply to notify someone there about issues with guide data. It was 4 hours since they last responded.

When they merged with Rovi they absolutely stopped caring about the guide data, then they stopped caring about their retail DVR customers entirely.

The guide data is horrible and I'm sad we're stuck with it - that was the saving grace of other DIY DVR solutions, you could go with a Gracenote-based guide and not have too many issues. Now there's issues every freaking day, and the amount of 'No description' stuff is beyond belief.

Another here. No TdF for me or my son on the West Coast on our TiVos. He was lucky enough to watch live. I have set a manual recording for 1:00 AM tomorrow and then a manual recording every day from 0700 to 1130. We'll see.

    Sending a tweet as well.

Yep, things definitely went pear-shaped after Rovi took over, and they've gotten steadily worse. To Do Lists are so undependable, I have to double check everything. And the number of reruns that get added as first run programs is ridiculous. And the havoc TiVo wreaked on my channel line-up last week, that still hasn't been fixed because we haven't gotten any updates since, is the absolute pits.

I have to do manual updates because my boxes are old and I couldn't get wi-fi to work, so unfortunately, I noticed guide issues long before covid -- usually the issue was not getting new guide data for 3, 4, 5 days in a row, like we're experiencing now. But things have gotten way, way worse. Comcast dumped a bunch of channels in Nov/Dec last year, and TiVo still hasn't corrected our line-up -- that is, until they did a totally wrong lineup change last week that borked everything, but still didn't correct those channels we lost almost 9 months ago.

On Sunday, when I checked during the "Black Panther" movie for the start time of the "Chadwick Boseman: A Tribute for a King" special that ABC was airing afterwards, our TiVo didn't show either program. I checked Channels DVR and their Gracenote data was 100% accurate, so I recorded it only on that one. Because stopping all activity to do a manual TiVo update was not within WAF parameters.

Our Bolt never did update for the Black Panther movie and tribute so we did a manual as well; Comcast, King County, Washington state.

I'm a big fan of TFD, and was really bummed yesterday when I didn't get it (Romio 1 pass). Today I recorded by time and caught it.

I've noticed this happening for other programs at times, like the last 3 times I recorded American Flat Track racing and got something else. And there have been other instances, but none as glaring at these two.

Sure hope they get their act together --- SOON!!!

The morning scheduled update (~10:15 EDT) was empty again, but I forced a connection shortly after Noon EDT today and it finally loaded several days worth of guide data. I guess they finally located the hamsters and got them back on their wheels. I now have guide data up to 8pm EDT on Monday 9/13 (so still about a day behind where it should be, which has been typical lately).

When the data ends at 8pm with some TBA following, I call that normal TE4 data.

TE3. Bolt. WA state. Comcast. Did a manual update 10.50am Pacific, took a looooong time to complete but still only data to 9/10. Did a second update and it was lightning fast but voila, data to 9/14.

Next time try this: after you check the guide, check System Information. Then check the guide again. There was an old bug where the guide didn't move until you looked at SI. It may have returned.

Hmm, TiVo's online guide is still showing TBA after 8pm EDT on 9/9; wonder when their own Website calls in to the mother ship?

Fortunately, I don't have some of those issues with TE4. What I do have is issues with what is new vs.repeats. My system tries to record many shows that aren't new. Also in the guide there are items marked "new" that aren't. I have to continually manage the to do list to get only the really news and add things it doesn't want to record.

Normally the web site updates first, but it’s likely in this case the data wasn’t available to the web site when it updated.

If you log in to the web site you should see the updated data because then it will use the data from your box.

Try rebooting twice, then redo the setup, then reboot again, then wait 48 hours and then reboot again while plugged into a different outlet because the guide problem is probably from faulty wiring in your house.

Or "upgrade" to Hydra as someone suggested. That's the ticket.

    sweet home, al
and whatever you do, don't plug a tivo into a ups, it not only creates guide problems and software issues, it blows the power supply.

I just decided to try doing another manual connection, on a whim, and it's loading something this time. Taking a while, too, so that is moderately encouraging.
