GUI looks like garbage, horizontal lines, colors ,but video plays normal.

I tried to reset, change the video settings, change the HDMI cable ,etc..... Even switch the HDMI port on the receiver.

TIVO mini looks normal in the theater but the DVR GUI screen looks horrible.

Any idea how to fix this or what the problem might be?

    Thanks.

Strange, I removed the TIVO DVR from the theater and plugged it into an LED TV and it worked. Maybe this is an issue with the receiver or projector in my home theater.

Maybe your receiver can't handle what your Roamio is outputting? I'd start by setting your TiVo video resolution to 480i ONLY. Make sure Auto is unchecked. Still having problems? If not, go to 480p only, then 720p only, then 1080i. If you have problems when your TiVo is outputting 480i, I don't know where to go from there. It sounds as if you receiver may have limited resolution capacity. One of mine, two generations ago, had this problem when I was using component cables for HD.
