Advertisements Among my collection is a 24008A. Had it apart recently to borrow the power supply for something else temporarily. Put it back together, it booted up the Welcome screen from the motherboard and then went to a grey screen (or maybe it was gray) Took out the drive, hooked it a computer, checked it with WinMFS, mfsinfo, it was showing partitions 1 and 3 (or maybe it was 1 and 4 or something else wrong) as the main boot and root (or root and boot) instead of 3 and 4 (and 6 and 7 as the alternate). Used fix bootpage option 1 to set boot and root to 3 and 4, but during the shuffling of drive from TiVo to computer to Tivo to computer... ran into SATA to IDE adapter problems, which added an additional unknown to the equation. Eventually got the adapter problem ironed out and used option 2 to set root and boot to 6 and 7, and now the TiVo's working again. Don't know if that's what it was supposed to be all along or what, but anyway maybe this will give someone else a line of inquiry if they get grayscreened. TiVo drives sure get scrambled easily.
