All I see listed at 6 and 9 pm on Thursday night is Hannety. Is this debate being broadcast? I realize only about three people are going to be in it, but I still want to watch it.

That article doesn't say there will only be one candidate. It says that there will only be one "top-tier" candidate and a bunch of nobodies.

It's way too early for these candidates to be openly jostling for position, and in the wake of the OBL news, it's very smart of the top candidates to stay out of this. They can get back to the party-line Obama bashing in a month or so when the national fervor dies down, but they'd be committing political suicide to do it this week.

Might check it out just to see what Ron Paul is up to. Should be more entertaining in later debates when Bachmann Palin show up. *

I am also interested in Gary Johnson. I haven't read anything about it being canceled. Since the deadline for signing up is passed, Fox seems to be sticking with it.

It's listed in the DirecTV line up (from my HR20) at 8:00 CT on Fox News Channel for Thursday for an hour and a half with a 90 minute Hannity following at 9:30 CT.

I guess this doesn't matter since it's the Republican debate but it's Cinco de Mayo on Thursday.

Hmm, watch a bunch of old white guys argue about who hates Obama more, or go drown myself in margaritas?

Do both!!!! Drinking game!!! Any mention of the birth certificate you have to down the pitcher. Any mention of the Bin Laden mission, a drink, criticism of the mission, double drink. If someone mixes up Obama and Osama (Even Chris Matthews did this) gets an extra drink. Normal drinks are for mention of medicare, social security, abortion. I need to think of phrases such as "my fellow Americans". :)
Taquella shots all around if anyone bashes Mormons or any other religion. :)

Very early debates are always a hoot watching the fringe candidates try to carve out a niche with the base.

I'll admit it, I stole your idea for a facebook post and it's looking like I'll be following up on it.

I am complemented. I was gone during the debate and pretty tired when I sort of watched it so no booze was ingested. Gary Johnson for Pres!!! ooops, just got political.
