The ability to look at your program guide and schedule recordings from tivo.com has been removed. I'm referring to the feature described in this Guide on the Tivo Website:
(Sorry - it won't let me put a link in this message - go to this part of the site: /support/how-to/schedule-recordings-web)

Please open a case requesting that they put this feature back. Support engineer says if enough users request it they might put it back.

I really don't like this direction the company has taken. I bought a device with features which are subsequently removed without notice.

GRRR. I used to give them very high ratings, but they lost points on this one.

Umm, there are a bunch of threads on this already, I'm too lazy to look for them, but check in the coffee house if not the S3 forums. There you would note that feedback from Tivo is this is being addressed.

A TiVo employee just told me that you can still schedule things remotely on S3 units if you use the apps. On iOS you use the main app. On Android there is a separate "classic" app you have to use for S3 units.

Cases don't get opened here; this is not the official TiVo support forum. Those of you that might like a case opened, call customer support at 877-367-8486. Or if you just want to ***** about it where TiVo is possibly paying attention, raise hell at TiVo Help Forums

I think the OP is requesting that as many people here as possible go to tivo.com support and open a case so that tivo will have many requests for the feature to be put back.

That's how I interpreted her message as well; I was trying to encourage readers to open cases by giving them the information needed to do it.

Thanks for your help in interpreting my message. Yes, everyone, please open a case w/ Tivo - even though it appears they may put this back. We haven't seen it yet and the support person I chatted with didn't seem at all sure it was going to happen. Plus it might make them think a bit more next time they remove features from their loyal customers.

    PS - it's "her message":p

Sorry, I was just going by the rules of English as I learned them, and the fact that etg is normally a masculine name. I'll fix my post.

    FYI

Just a few moments ago, I was able to schedule a recording of a show via the tivo.com online guide.

Sorry. I saw this in the New Posts listing. Nothing was mentioned in the OP about certain Tivos. I wouldn't know one Tivo from another.

If you are looking at the results of a "New Posts" search, you can see which forum a post comes from by looking at the right-hand side of the screen:

Forums which say "TiVo" and nothing else (like the TiVo Help Center) are for general TiVo talk. The model-specific forums have the model in the name of the forum, so if it isn't the forum for Roamios, it isn't for your model.

It would be ridiculous for every opening post in a Series 3 thread for people to say "I have a S3 which is not a Roamio", so you can't depend on the information being in the OP.
