Felt the same. Really weird since S1 was so good. I thought I was alone then I checked out the reviews over at Amazon. They're pretty brutal.

I have two episodes left and not sure I want to bother finishing it.

I didn't think it was all that bad. In fact, I kind of liked it. Episode 7 was my favorite.

I agree with pretty much everyone...the season was awful, but episode 7 was good.

Am I crazy or was it a nod to Ray Donovan? The actor who plays Javi was a big part of the episode, and there was even a character named Mickey who was clearly supposed to be like "Mickey" ....I have an idea for a book....it's in my head..he talked too much, etc. .

Just finished S2 & I'm disappointed after such an amazing first season.

The pacing of the whole thing was terrible. Some stuff drug out too long while other parts felt rushed to the point that it seemed like critical parts were edited down or cut out completely.

while it certainly wasn't season 1, I enjoyed it.

However, unlike everyone else, I thought episode 7 was the worst one.

We liked Season 1 (although in style and production it rang a lot of Bosch bells for us and thus seemed a bit derivative) then by chance happened to watch the Season 2 trailer. Can't bring ourselves to watch Season 2 based on the cascade of random physical violence scenes parading as a trailer.

Definitely not as good as season 1. Definitely squirmingly weird at some points. HR Puffinstuff? Really? Ladies, if some guy - billionaire or not - says he wants to tie you up so you look like you have no limbs? Run.

Episode 7 was like it was from a totally different season that somehow got mixed in. I actually went back to the episode guide to see if I'd fallen asleep for two or three episodes and woke up to later plot developments. And it dragged. Once Billy started describing to the Chinese lady how to stab the obnoxious guy in the cajones, it was ffwd button time. The next thing I saw was Billy running from some bad guys that were shooting at him. I don't know how he escaped and I don't care.

I guess the biggest disappointment to me was that the bad guys won and any halfway decent tv detective should have been able to connect Marisol to the cartel.

The dumbest thing was Billy and Patty going back to the place in Mexico where Billy was kidnapped to talk to Gabriel. Why Gabriel had the elaborate ruse with the new "owners" instead of having Billy and Patty killed and buried in a field somewhere didn't make too much sense.

I actually did not mind that next to the last episode. It was better than anything before it, that's for sure.

Hmm. We liked Season 2 much more than Season 1. Neither season is exactly what I'd call outstanding. We mostly watched for BBT's performance. And granted there was a lot of ridiculousness in Season 2, but William Hurt was so over-the-top in season 1 we almost didn't stick with it. He used to be one of my favorite actors, but it seems to me like ever since A History Of Violence he's just been trying to make each performance more cartoonish than the last.

Season 1 was better, season 2 was enjoyable. Season 2 started out slow and confusing as to who were the good / bad / somewhat bad guys but as it became clear things got good.

I like Billy Bob a lot but did not enjoy the 2nd season much. It was too over the top and the Mexico sequences distracting for me.

Billy Bob makes it worth watching, but they really need new writers or a new show runner. I'm not sure a believable thing happen during the entire second season.

Loved season 1 but didn’t watch season 2 based on poor reviews. What’s the verdict for S3?

I've watched 2 eps so far, and I haven't quite decided yet. There's some kind of strange, cultish druggy thing happening out at the almond farm. I'm still interested, so I'll keep going.

Btw, forgot to mention, on my OLED, the HDR either looks way over done or this was shot in High Frame Rate. It has the dreaded soap opera effect.
