We didn't see how it happened--you have no idea if Christopher was an instigator. Maybe if you had the kind of on-again, off-again relationship that Chris and Lorelai have had for 20+ years, you would feel differently. I would counter that this was likely not more than a booty call for Lorelai. She said when he opened the door, "I don't want to be alone tonight". With their history, for him that did not mean let's make some popcorn and talk. She would have gone to Rory if that's what she wanted. She wanted to make a break with Luke, to do the one thing that he would find unforgiveable, so that she wouldn't be tempted to go back to him.

When you think about it, she has a pattern of using Christopher to get over other guys. I guess he's finally sick of that. He finally wants to be the one that gets his girl.

I don't think that it will work out for him, but you can't fault a guy for trying. :)

She did seem a little different than in last season. I don't know about creepy. But I wouldn't mind seeing her on a little more. I overall like the character.

Did they replace the actress, or are they just changing her character slightly? Something seems a bit off with her.

Well it was a pretty big changed from a science fair project of using DNA to find out 'who's my daddy' to growing an avocado pit. :D

She seemed much less interested in peoples relationships last season; although I suppose if she'd overheard the wrong bit of (accurate) gossip she might know that she was a part of why Luke and Lorelai split up, and that guild might have been what was driving her rather odd attempt to get Luke to get a date.

I also think it's a little far fetched that she would be so comfortable with Luke. She's only known him for a brief time and now she's the dutiful daughter introducing him to Target and trying to fix him up with her teacher? I believe what comes off as creepy to me re: April is that the writers give her the same frantic monologues that they create for Rory and Lorelai and it just doesn't play well (or the actress can't quite pull them off) so they sound really odd coming from a child.
